The Construction Services Office is responsible for the design and construction of the District's myriad facilities. In addition, we are responsible for the implementation of the District's AHERA plan for containment and abatement of asbestos and for management of the hazardous materials program. Our design and construction activities are currently centered on the 2003 General Obligation Bond fund projects which include the new Stapleton II Elementary School and 8-Classroom additions at Gust and Schenck Elementary Schools. We are also responsible for management of the City of Denver's Neighborhood Bond Program for site improvements at all DPS middle schools. Our AHERA and hazardous materials programs are ongoing, year to year projects relating to construction activities, code compliance, and to building user concerns.
