Operations - Part-time Employment Opportunities

MISSION: Our contribution to the goals of The Denver Plan is to make a concerned effort to hire individuals with the ability, experience, and desire to assist us in our task of helping to create and maintain a safe, orderly, and enriching environment for the children throughout the entire school district, specifically in the facility in which they attend and on the surrounding site as well.

OVERVIEW: The Operations Department is divided into five geographical areas: Northwest, Northeast, Combined-Sites, Southwest, and Southeast. If you, or someone you know, would like to work with Denver Public Schools as a custodian on a part time basis, we encourage you to apply at 2800 W. 7 th Ave (2 blocks east of Federal Blvd) in the DPS Service Building between the hours of 8:00am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday, (excluding holidays). During the school year, part time hours are primarily 5pm-9pm or 6pm-10pm (in high schools). Summer hours vary during the day according to when the school buildings are open. We are looking 1ooking for energetic, hard working, and punctual candidates with a willingness to learn a new trade Individuals need to be at least 18 years of age. Denver Public Schools offers custodial employees free training in the following areas:

•  Hot water heating systems
•  HVAC systems
•  Basic computer training
•  Electrical, instruments & controls
•  Boiler gas controls
•  Basic personnel management.
